Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I check my application status online?

2. How can I travel to Beijing?

Students can arrange the travel plans based on their own schedule. Most students choose to travel to China with their parents or friends and go to the registration site when the camp begins.

3. How do I register on the registration day of camp?

You can go to the camp ground, The Academy of Chinese Culture to register by yourself if you are 18-years-old or over. If you are under 18, you must have your parent/custodian acompany you to the registration. On the last day, your parent/custodian must come to the camp ground to pick you up if you are under 18. For detail registration information, please refer the Invitation Letter.

4. What are the living conditions?

Students will stay in the dorms of the Academy of Chinese Culture in Beijing and various hotels at outsite of Beijing. In Beijing, Students will be assigned one or two per room. The rooms are very clean and equipped with a shower.

5. How safe is the camp?

Every ten students will have 2 - 3 adult instructors. Students will be watched over by chaperones 24 hours a day. All activities will be under camp teachers and instructors supervision. The dorm doors will be locked after-hours.

6. Should I prepare to bring any gifts?

We encourage each student to prepare 2-3 small gifts for their new friends in China during the camp trip. There will be other oversea Chinese high school students in the same camp. Gifts will promote positive interaction among students.

Questions you may have about your travel in Chin

1. What if my I get sick in China?

If you get sick during the trip, we will arrange the local hospitals and doctors to take care of you until you get well. You must show or ask your family doctor for a medical record that includes up-to-date shots and a letter stating that your are in good healthy for travel.

2. How much clothing should I bring?

Bring a week-worth of clothes and one jacket.
